a responsible
approach to ai
AI tools are becoming part of visual production. How they will develop and what role they will play remains to be seen, and the conversation will continue. What matters to us is how they are applied.
We believe in a responsible, artist-driven use of AI. It is not a replacement for creative judgement and specialist expertise, nor a shortcut to generic output. It is one of the tools we may use where it supports the idea, process or result.
AI can help generate and explore variations quickly, but speed can come with reduced control. In that sense, the process can be compared to shooting multiple takes on set. Some work better than others. As in the editing room, the value lies in selecting, combining and refining the strongest material.
Experience, a trained eye and specialist expertise remain essential in understanding why an image works, why it does not and how it can be improved. At the same time, the organizational and production strength of a studio becomes even more important. AI-assisted output still requires structure, supervision and integration into a broader workflow, supported by planning, dependencies, security, rights and professional delivery standards.
Planet X STORM applies the same security and confidentiality standards to AI tools as it does to the rest of its workflow. We do not upload client, performer or other sensitive material to external systems without understanding and agreeing how it will be used. Where required, we work in controlled environments, including isolated systems for sensitive or talent-related material.
