Mr. K is a surreal psychological thriller that follows a traveling illusionist, played by Crispin Glover, who checks into a grand but decaying hotel for a single night, only to find himself trapped when the exit completely vanishes the next morning.
As he frantically searches for a way out, he discovers that the hotel behaves like a living organism; its corridors actively shift, and the walls literally begin to shrink and close in on him.
Unable to escape, he is forced to navigate a labyrinth of increasingly bizarre, tribal societies formed by the permanent residents, including a tyrannical kitchen crew and a mindless marching band. His quest for survival turns into a Kafkaesque nightmare where his sanity unravels, transforming the hotel into a claustrophobic metaphor for existential isolation and the traps of human existence.
